Ben and Cath's Place3月10日 FinitoWell, We cannot believe it but we have finally finished the backyard. At least the major part of it. There are still some minor things left to do but it is planted and ready to use. We made a good push over the weekend and got the rest of the plants in and all of the rock. A couple of weeks ago we finished laying the sod. You may also notice how I added some decorative peices to the Gazebo. We are anxious for any and all to come out so that we can cook for you in our new outdoor kitchen. Well love to all. 12月22日 Snow in VegasAs can be seen from the pictures, we actually had snow in Vegas that was significant enough to stay for more than a few minutes. And no, Ariane, we did not shovel it or do any of the other helpful hint things that you posted. It was kind of interesting though. 12月14日 More Photos of the BackyardAs you can see we have done some more in the backyard. We have put up the Gazebo which is ready for the outdoor kitchen and grill. We also put in the little bridge that we made. Tcimas has been and integral part of the project. She loves to be out there when I am working on it. If we have any more large quantities of concrete to pour maybe we will make a more integral part of the project. He He. Next time you guys get here the yard will look very different. We love all of you and miss you; particularly around this time of the year. 10月12日 Recent EventWell, It has been a while since last we posted. I know that shocks everyone. As the pictures may seem a little disjointed I will explain. First of all, Mom and I went on a hike up the Charelston Peak trail a while back. As you can see the scenery was beautiful and the hike strenguous. But we had a good time and decided we would like to do it again. Then we had some photos of Jeremiah and Grandma and Grandpa and I back in Adam-Ohndi-Ahman. Mom gave me the word that I should not post too many pictures, so I have tried to keep them at a minimum. Then there are the photos of when I burned the back of my legs with concrete. I didn't realize in all the years of pouring concrete how caustic it could be if it remained up against your skin for several hours. We had poured almost 50 yards of concrete and were working hard at it for about 3 hours trying to get it all laid down. I didn't have time to even think about my own comfort until it was over and then my legs were hurting. And of course what would family photos be without some new home improvement project. As you can see we are fixing up the back yard. We started with a new and enlarged patio made with pavers and a home made firepit. The firepit is all made out of concrete and has a little shelf for sitting or eating up to. We bought 4 concrete type benchs to go aroung it. This week we will finish putting in the pavers. We are excited to see how it will turn out. Then in the back corner we are constructing a Gazebo that will house our outdoor kitchen complete with a sink and grill and counter space. There will also be room for a table with some chairs. We are anxious to have some outdoor meals there. It will be very nice and more efficient on the watering. We love all of you and are grateful for what you are doing in your lives. Love Dad & Mom 7月5日 4th of July FestivitiesWell, As you can see from the photos, we had a wonderful 4th of July. The day was a complete success. It was very enjoyable as long as we kept ourselves wet. This part was Landon's favorite. He enjoyed being taken into the water. Not really but we would like to think so. The fireworks were amazing. It was as if we were right below them; oh wait, we were. We even felt little pieces of the debris hit us periodically. But the food was great and the company exceptional. The whole day was fun! We love you all! |
